For ESPM, the Indian market of maintaining and overhauling the specialised rolling stock and other railway equipment has always been particularly important and attractive. And not only because of its significant potential. It is in this area of work that our company together with its Indian colleagues successfully brings to life the most ambitious ideas, exports the best solutions and experience gained over a long period of working in this field.
Our company signed its first contracts with the Indian customers back in 2020. All this time, the company has been actively promoting its proposals for joint work in this market, co-operating with the widest range of partners: from the Ministry of Railways of India up to private business working in the railway sector.
As a result, 2024 was a truly breakthrough year for Engineering Services-Putmash in this market:

As part of a business expansion strategy, in close cooperation with an Indian partner ESPM established a joint venture called E.S. Putmash Pvt. Ltd. The company’s core business area is repair, operation and overall maintenance of track machines operating on the Indian railways.

E.S. Putmash Pvt. Ltd. has won a three-year tender for the maintenance and operation of Dynamic 3x track trimmer, which maintains tracks on the Indian Railways.

During the past year, the company has repaired and maintained 340 kilometres of track on sections on the West Central and Central Indian Railways.

Together with the Indian colleagues Engineering Service-Putmash is implementing a project for the supply of 8 bogies for trains to a local partner.

8 bogies for trains were manufactured in accordance with the standards of Indian Railways for the amount of 22 million Indian rupees.
Based on these achievements, Engineering Service-Putmash is elaborating strategic, long-term plans on expanding its business in India. At present, the company is proactively working on a draft contract for the supply of ballast spreader-planner track machine, dynamic track stabiliser and other track maintenance machines to India.
